The fine print

Privacy Policy

Short and plain, like a good recipe. Last updated October 25, 2026.

With Love, Alexa (“the site”, “we”, “I”) is a personal recipe and journal site run by Alexa Kashubskiy. This policy explains what information is collected when you visit and what happens to it.

What I collect

You can read every page without an account, and the site doesn’t ask for your name, email or any other personal details. There are no comment forms, newsletters or ads.

Like nearly every website, the companies that host and deliver the site automatically receive standard technical information when you visit, such as your IP address, browser type, the page you requested and the time of the request. This is used to deliver pages, keep the site secure and fix problems. Their privacy notices describe their retention practices.

Cookies

The site uses Google Analytics to understand which pages people visit and how they find and use the site. Google Analytics uses cookies and collects information about visits, such as page views, browser and device details, and referring websites. The site also sets a sign-in cookie for the owner when she logs in to write recipes and posts.

The owner’s editor also saves unfinished drafts in the current browser tab so work can be recovered after a reload. This storage is not used to track visitors.

Service providers

The site relies on a few providers to run:

The linked notices explain how these providers handle information. We do not sell visitor information or use it for advertising. Fonts are served from this site, so loading them does not send a request to Google.

Links to other sites

Posts may link to shops, ingredients or other websites. Those sites have their own privacy practices, which this policy doesn’t cover.

Children

The site is meant for a general audience and doesn’t knowingly collect information from children under 13.

Your choices

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Google also provides an Analytics opt-out browser add-on. Blocking the owner’s sign-in cookie prevents access to the editor.

For privacy questions or requests about information associated with your visit, email akashubskiy@gmail.com and I’ll help. If you email, your address and message will be used to respond to your request.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with a new date at the top.
